JAMMU, State president of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Ravinder Raina, handed over medical gear which consisted of medical safety gowns, gloves, gumshoes (footwear), facemasks and aprons to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Samba at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The whole lot of medical gears costing about rupees 1 lakh was donated by Dr. Poonam Manyal w/o Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, J&K BJP General Secretary. Dr. Poonam Manyal is presently posted in Gandhi Nagar Government Hospital as Incharge VDRL section.
Ravinder Raina handed over medical gear in presence of Former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta, J&K BJP General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul and Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal.
JMC Councillor Parmod Kapahi, J&K BJP Media Secretary Dr. Pardeep Mahotra and former District President Kuldeep Dubey were also present on the occasion.
Raina, appreciated the noble gesture shown by the Doctor and stressed that every capable person must come forward to help the world in this crucial hour. He said that presently Medical community is working as the frontline warrior in combating this deadly infection and above that this humanitarian approach has further cemented our faith in the noble profession.
Raina, added that this Covid 19 (Corona Virus) infection knows no boundaries of region, religion or community and we must all rise above our routine chores and do whatever we can in order to help all the persons involved in “Emergency Services” at the hour. On the occasion, he also appealed to the common masses to help the needy persons in their surroundings to cope the critical situation amid corona Lockdown.
Ashok Kaul, applauding the kind gesture shown by the doctor couple said that we must ensure the safety and security of Medical personnel. He also appealed to the kind hearted persons to come forward and help the administration in providing the necessary medical gears and equipments to the medical personnel, in addition to the government supply to boost up the existing system.
